Calvert County's 18 voting locations were humming Tuesday, as ballot-counters who opted for the traditional method came out. Southern Maryland News visited half of the locations today, encountering the many workers manning their party's booths. The presidential and congressional elections attracted the voters, as did the local races. In addition to three board of education seats, voters in Chesapeake Beach are choosing a new mayor plus all six town council seats.
